ITU Member States and Academia as well as ITU-R Sector Members and Associates from the Arab States are invited to attend the workshop. Registration for ITU-R events is mandatory and carried out exclusively online through Designated Focal Points (DFPs). Each ITU-R Member has been requested to designate a DFP responsible for the handling of all registration formalities. Individuals wishing to be registered for an ITU-R event should directly contact the DFP for their entity.
Please consider that the deadline for registration is 15 January 2026. Please be aware that the capacity of the meeting room is limited.

Without approval from their focal point, participants will not be able to participate in the event.

Entry and visa requirements to the United Arab Emirates
This invitation letter may be required for visa application purposes. If additional documentation is needed, participants are advised to contact the UAE Embassy or Mission in their country of residence. The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) will issue an official visa support letter upon request.
Participants must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the United Arab Emirates.
Visa Application Timing: All visa applications should be submitted at least two weeks before the expected travel date.
Nationals of many countries are exempt from obtaining a visa in advance and are eligible for visa on arrival. Participants are strongly encouraged to consult the following official resources for the most up-to-date entry requirements:

Given the amount of expected practical training during the Workshops, each participant is required to bring a laptop.
In order to accurately run the ITU Software Tools to be used during the Workshops, laptops should have the following:

- Microsoft Office 2010 (or higher) or any other compatible suite (as e.g. OpenOffice)
- Any internet browser (MS Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, …)
- Adobe Reader or any other PDF reader
Users should have the necessary permissions on their laptops for installing new software (i.e. local administrator rights).
Please note that some ITU Software Tools to be used
- Might experience unexpected difficulties when running on Windows 8
- Could require configuring regional settings in English
