class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ra-23\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RA-23<\/a>) on 15 November adopted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/dms_pub\/itu-r\/opb\/res\/R-RES-R.72-2023-PDF-E.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new resolution<\/a> on gender equality, aiming to keep strengthening, accelerating and scaling up the active involvement of women in the work and activities of the ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis breakthrough resolution reflects the commitment of the ITU Radiocommunication Sector to gender equality and marks yet another significant step to enabling women\u2019s active and meaningful participation in our work,\u201d said ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The adoption of the gender resolution was called for by the 2019 World Radiocommunication Conference\u2019s \u201cDeclaration on Promoting Gender Equality, Equity and Parity in the ITU Radiocommunication Sector.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about-the-regional-co-chairs\"><strong>About the Regional Co-Chairs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/now4wrc27\/regional-co-chairs-and-representatives\/\">Regional Co-Chairs<\/a>&nbsp;of NOW4WRC27 have been nominated to:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>ensure the initiative addresses the specific needs of women delegates from each regional telecommunication organization (RTO);<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>organize regional NOW4WRC27 activities to be held in conjunction with regional WRC-27 preparatory meetings;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>promote women\u2019s leadership in the regional preparatory process for WRC27;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>involve and support women who may not be attending ITU-R Study Group and Working Party meetings.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about-the-coordinators\"><strong>About the coordinators<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"\/now4wrc27\/br-coordinators\/\">Coordinators<\/a>&nbsp;from the&nbsp;ITU&nbsp;Radiocommunication Bureau (BR) have been nominated to:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>support activities of NOW4WRC27 coinciding with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/ITU-R\/study-groups\/Pages\/default.aspx\">ITU-R Study\u202fGroup<\/a>\u202fand Working Party meetings;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>support implementation of the mentoring programme;<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"about-the-now4wrc23-launch\"><strong>About the&nbsp;NOW4WRC27<\/strong> launch<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;launch of&nbsp;the Network of Women fulfils one of our commitments to implement the new (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ra-23\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RA-23<\/a>) resolution on gender equality and  the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/ITU-R\/conferences\/rag\/cg-gender\/Documents\/WRC-19%20GENDER%20DECLARATION%20-%20EN.pdf\">WRC-19 Gender Declaration<\/a>,&nbsp;which seeks to promote gender&nbsp;equality, equity and parity within the ITU&nbsp;Radiocommunication Sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About&nbsp;the NOW4WRC Mentoring Programme<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by the\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=iuzrGPhv2eQ\">We Lead initiative<\/a>, NOW4WRC aims to increase the number of women participating in and taking on leading roles, such as committee chairs and conference chairs, in the technical conferences of ITU\u2019s Radiocommunication Sector.&nbsp;&nbsp;A key component of the initiative is mentoring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul
