The Director of the BR is assisted by a team of high-calibre engineers, computer specialists and managers who, together with administrative staff, make up the Radiocommunication Bureau.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><a><\/a><strong>The Radiocommunication Bureau:<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>provides administrative and technical support to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ITU-R\/go\/rconf\/en\">Radiocommunication Conferences<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ITU-R\/go\/ra\/en\">Radiocommunication Assemblies<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ITU-R\/go\/rsg\/en\">Study Groups<\/a>, including Working Parties and Task Groups;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>applies the provisions of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/pub\/R-REG-RR\/en\">Radio Regulations<\/a>\u00a0and various Regional Agreements;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>records and registers frequency assignments and also orbital characteristics of space services, and maintains the Master International Frequency Register;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>provides advice to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/members\/index.html\">Member States<\/a>\u00a0on the equitable, effective and economical use of the radio-frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, and investigates and assists in resolving cases of harmful interference;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>coordinates the preparation, editing and dispatch of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ITU-R\/go\/itur-circulars\/en\">circulars<\/a>, documents and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/publications\/sector.aspx?sector=1&amp;lang=en\">publications<\/a>\u00a0developed within the Sector;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>provides technical information, organizes seminars on national frequency management and radiocommunications, and works closely with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/ITU-D\/index.asp\">ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau<\/a>\u00a0in assisting developing countries.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Radiocommunication Bureau (BR) is the executive arm of the&nbsp;Radiocommunication Sector, and is headed by an elected&nbsp;Director&nbsp;who is responsible for the coordination of the work of the Sector.
