Laptop requirements

Given the amount of expected practical training during the Workshops, each participant is required to bring a laptop.
In order to accurately run the ITU Software Tools to be used during the Workshops, laptops should have the following:

Set of minimal specifications

Windows 10

32-bit or 64-bit OS

Free disk space

10 GB (recommended 20 GB)

Processor (CPU)

Core i3, i5, i7 (3rd generation)

Memory (RAM)

8 GB

Graphics

256 MB

USB Port or DVD Reader

Wireless or (Wi-Fi) adapter

Software environment

  • Microsoft Office 2010 (or higher) or any other compatible suite (as e.g. OpenOffice)
  • Any internet browser (MS Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, …)
  • Adobe Reader or any other PDF reader

Users should have the necessary permissions on their laptops for installing new software (i.e. local administrator rights).

Please note that some ITU Software Tools to be used

  • Might experience unexpected difficulties when running on Windows 8
  • Could require configuring regional settings in English
