The Global Forum on Connecting the World from the Skies
12-14 October 2026, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Co-organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) of Saudi Arabia, the 2026 edition of Connecting the World from the Skies will be held as part of the 2026 Global Space Connectivity & Sustainability Events. This flagship three-day initiative brings together Connecting the World from the Skies and the ITU Space Sustainability Forum under the theme “Connected Earth, Sustainable Space.”

Building on the success of previous editions, the Forum will convene policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, satellite operators, technology innovators, researchers and technical experts from across the world to explore how non-terrestrial networks (NTNs), satellite communications and future 6G architectures can help expand meaningful connectivity, bridge the digital divide and support resilient digital infrastructure for all.

Discussions will focus on the evolving global satellite connectivity landscape and the path to universal access; the integration of satellites, NTNs and 6G; spectrum access, WRC-27 and international coordination; and the regulatory, technical and business models needed to unlock scalable direct-to-device connectivity.

By bringing the connectivity and sustainability communities together under one platform, the 2026 Events will provide a unique opportunity to exchange perspectives, showcase innovation and strengthen international cooperation for a connected Earth and a sustainable space environment.
